Sound School kicks off its monthly series at Signal with a DJing 101 workshop. DJ Raving Private Ryan (Vapor Noir, Adidoss) takes you through Virtual DJ, Serato, CDJs, and how to set up your own parties.

Sound School is a monthly sound laboratory that explores a different electronic music/sound tech skill, with an amazing line-up of facilitators. With a focus on skilling up queer, non-binary & women musicians, anti-musicians, musos-to-be, everyone’s welcome to come handle gear, do experiments and make a huge racket. Get all the answers to questions on everything you wanted to learn about electronic music.

Signal is a creative studio for young people 13 to 25 years located on Northbank in the heart of Melbourne. The program offers young people the opportunity to work alongside professional artists in a collaborative way, through multi-artform workshops and mentoring.
