Venture into the field with Bridget Chappell and a bag of microphones, and tune into the 360 degrees of sound around you. Learn how to use zoom recorders, microphones, hydrophones, electromagnetic detectors and other tech tools to collect sounds – and how to process them in recording software such as Reaper to create original musical pieces. Delve into the ethics, philosophies and practical applications of field recording and Deep Listening.

For ages 12 and up. Sound School extends a special invite to women, trans, and queer people, people of colour, and people with disabilities to attend.
